RoAnn Elias is a Fine Art Florida contemporary painter of acrylic and mixed media pieces. She studied art and design at Santa Monica College in California and at Georgia State. She also had the opportunity to study with nationally known figurative sculptors in the Atlanta area and in Loveland, Colorado. Elias is well-known in the St. Augustine art community and her artwork hangs in many private and corporate collections throughout Florida.
Inspired by the captivating essence of circles and time, Elias emphasizes the shared emotions of joy and spiritualism, speaking to the ideas of birth and rebirth through her newest collection. As quoted by singing legend Joni Mitchell, “We are captive on the carousel of time (a circle). We can’t return, we can only look behind from where we came, and go round and round in the circle game.
”Known for her creative use of color, she loves to experiment with how paints react to a variety of textures and techniques.”
